Migrate from Facebook Shop to a Real Website in 2 Hours

Stop losing sales to WhatsApp messages. Build a proper online store without technical headaches.

Your Facebook page gets 100 orders a week. But half your customer messages go unanswered. Your inventory is a spreadsheet. Your profit margins are a guess.

Sound familiar? Most Bangladesh merchants start on Facebook because it's free and easy. Then they hit the ceiling.

This guide shows you how to move to a real store in an afternoon. No coding. No jargon. Just the steps that work.

Why This Actually Matters

Every order you take over Messenger instead of your own store costs you money. Not just the processing time — the lost data.

When a customer buys on your store, you get:

  • Their payment record (for accounting)
  • Their shipping address (saved for next time)
  • Their order history (so they can reorder)
  • Data on what sells (so you know what to stock)

On Facebook? You get a message. Then you spend 10 minutes digging through your phone to confirm the order, the address, the payment. By the time you hand it to your courier, 20 minutes have passed.

Multiply that by 50 orders a week. That's 16 hours a month lost to manual work.

A real store automates that. You get your time back. You get data. You get higher profit margins.

What You'll Need

  • 2 hours of your time
  • Your product photos (phone camera is fine)
  • Your bank account (for payments)
  • A Pathao or Steadfast account (for delivery)

That's it. No technical skills. We show you exactly where to click.

Step-by-Step Migration

Step 1: Set Up Your Free Store on StoreOS

Go to storeos.dev and click "Start Free."

Fill in:

  • Your business name
  • Your email
  • A password

Takes 2 minutes. You're done.

You now have a dashboard. This is where you'll manage everything — products, orders, payments, shipping.

Step 2: Add Your Products

Click Products in your dashboard.

Click Add Product.

Fill in:

  • Product name (e.g., "Men's Casual Shirt - Blue")
  • Price in taka
  • Description (copy from your Facebook post is fine)
  • Upload 3-5 photos
  • Choose if you offer sizes or colors (optional)

Hit Save.

Repeat for your top 20 products first. You can add more later.

Time this takes: 2-3 minutes per product. For 20 products, about 1 hour.

Pro tip: Take your best-selling Facebook products first. Don't wait to add every single item. Launch with what sells.

Step 3: Connect Your Payment Method

Your customers need a way to pay you.

Click SettingsPayments.

Choose Cash on Delivery (COD). This is what most Bangladesh customers want anyway.

Check the box that says "Send payment reminder after delivery."

Done. When a customer places an order, your courier collects the cash. Your account auto-updates.

Step 4: Connect Pathao (or Steadfast)

This is the magic step. Your store now talks to your courier.

Click SettingsShipping.

Click Add Courier.

Choose Pathao (or Steadfast if you use them).

Enter your Pathao merchant ID (find it in your Pathao account under Profile).

Hit Connect.

Now when a customer orders:

  1. StoreOS automatically sends the order to Pathao
  2. Pathao picks up from you
  3. Your customer gets a tracking link
  4. You get paid after delivery

No manual work. No spreadsheet updates. No "Oh, I forgot to hand this to the courier" moments.

Step 5: Test It

Place a test order on your own store.

Use a fake address (or your own). Make sure everything works.

Click through to payment. Check that the order shows up in your Pathao account.

This takes 5 minutes and saves you from finding bugs after launch.

Step 6: Go Live

Share your store link with a few trusted customers first.

Ask them: "Does this work for you? Any confusion?"

Fix anything they report.

Then promote it:

  • Update your Facebook bio to link to your store
  • Post: "Orders now open on our website — faster, safer, easier"
  • Keep taking Messenger orders too (don't switch all at once)

Does This Really Save Time?

Let's do the math.

Old way (Facebook + WhatsApp):

  • Customer messages you an order: 2 minutes
  • You confirm via message: 1 minute
  • You update your spreadsheet: 1 minute
  • You tell your courier: 1 minute
  • Per order: 5 minutes

50 orders a week × 5 minutes = 250 minutes (4+ hours).

New way (StoreOS):

  • Customer orders on your store: automatic
  • StoreOS sends to Pathao: automatic
  • You review the dashboard once a day: 10 minutes

50 orders a week takes 10 minutes.

Time saved: 240 minutes a week. That's 16+ hours a month.

What would you do with 16 hours a month? Buy more stock? Design new products? Sleep?

Real Example

GearHaat moved their Facebook shop to StoreOS in September 2026. In the first month:

  • Order processing time dropped from 4 hours/day to 30 minutes/day
  • They added 15 new product categories (finally had time)
  • Their profit margin went up 5% (no more "lost" orders)
  • They hired one person part-time instead of working 16-hour days themselves

They still use Facebook to advertise. But orders go through their store.

What's Next?

Your store is live. Next steps:

  1. Add more products. Your store works best with 50+ items. Add a few each week.
  2. Ask your customers for feedback. What's confusing? Fix it.
  3. Drive traffic. Write a Facebook post: "We're now online. Faster checkout. Better prices." Link to your store.
  4. Track what sells. Your dashboard shows sales by product. Use this to decide what to stock.
